Why do we love watching Movies ??

I was pondering over this question and I seem to have found an answer that I am sharing with you. I doubt that there is hardly any person who does not love watching movies. While movies have got so much technologically advanced and are so much entertaining, have we ever stopped to wonder why movies effect and attract us so much?

Well the answer lies in this. Right from prehistoric ages when we used to live in caves, as language developed and humans learnt to speak and communicate, story telling and listening has been a favourite pastime.

Stories have been my favourite since childhood and even now little children love listening to stories. This basic instinct has developed and in the modern age, has assumed a very developed form. Believe it or not I feel, cartoons, soaps and serials and movies no doubt are all modified forms of story telling.

This may not be readily evident but the fact is humans no matter what their age is, enjoy listening to stories and plots and love to imagine, just to live and fulfill their dreams which they might not be able to do in the practical life.

So three cheers to stories and keep enjoying and keep the imagination free to soar to any heights !!!

The Existence of Fear...

If you have suffered from a fear for a long time, you tend to develop an immunity against that fear, and life moves on in spite of it.
Dear God, why are you taking a test of my patience. I am fighting my Lord, and I also know that I should not quit and should not lose hope. But I am just a normal human being, not a Superhuman, I will also break down my Lord,...If you do not show me the light, I will surely break down...It has been enough my Lord, now please deliver me ,,,please.

Well I wrote something.......

I have started to write again. For some time I just could not write anything for I felt I had nothing meaningful to say. Even now, why has that urge to write come so strongly.

I know why that has come. It is because I have a lot to say but there are very few people with whom I can share my feelings. Also none can fully understand my state; that is why I feel to write everything  as clearly as possible.

Well let me tell you why I like spirituality. I like it because spirituality gives me such peace and stability and joy that I can find nowhere else.

Certain vacuum of the heart can be filled by spirituality alone. 

Some lines I wrote this morning keeping the weather in mind...

It's a winter day....
Lying on my bed ......
With a novel in one hand,
And a cup of coffee in the other...
I am travelling to other lands...
Meeting new and old characters...
I am also one of them...
Let the hours pass by...
Let me be there...
Please do not call me back to the present...
It's a Sunday after all !!!!!!!

It is going to happen one day....

One day I am going to marry a good girl who may not be like me but who would be sensitive enough and who would try to understand my interests and feelings.

And I am certain about it.

Positivism is the most important thing for success. It seems as if we can do nothing if things are not going fine in our lives. But that is not true. A lot is in our own hands. It is very true that we can ourselves attract success, love and happiness into our lives. All is required a strong will and a positive attitude towards things. The attitude of not giving up, and fighting till the end gives a lot of hope and that has worked wonders in my life and I am sure to overcome and deal with all the coming difficulties in my life with it.

I see many people feeling a lot helpless about things in their life; I can understand that it would really feel bad being in their situation but that is when we should not give up hope and keep fighting.

It's when things seem worst that we should not give up.

KALPANA CHAWLA INSTITUTE OF SPACE SCIENCE

KCISS in short.. would be the name of the space science institute or center that I would like to establish in future... I am going to try my best to fulfill this dream.... (or KCSRI, Guwahati (Kalpana Chawla Space Research Institute).

Motivating as well as demotivating situations as well as persons come most unexpectedly in our day to day lives. So we need to keep a constant vigil to accept the motivating ones and thoroughly reject the demotivating ones which cost out enthusiasm and energy.

I am going to maintain a high level of motivation while working in the field of Compact Objects.

The book "Extreme Environment Astrophysics" by Ulrich Kolb that I got from the institute library is  really good and I feel motivated going through it. 

If I am to motivate others as well as keep myself motivated, I need to be truthful to myself, and to others as well. Making false promises would ruin everything in future. Better to be plain and keep my point of view showing the pros and cons and yet trying to show the gains to be attained. There may be limitations but the interest should rule and I can do my best and leave the rest on time.

Although the urge to learn new things, teach and do new things should be the prime motivation for work, but recognition and praise at regular intervals are also of prime importance to keep the motivation level high. 

Doing good research is an art, there are the tricks and roads that shall be opened to you as you move along. Be with the experienced researchers, see them work, how they do research, the roads you have to recognize or you have to find new ways,...hence success in research is just a matter of constant learning and enriching,...learning from the mistakes,...finding out ways that lead to our goal and to recognize the ways that don't. So keep trying, keep failing and keep succeeding.....
